The surgeon takes adipose tissue from a selected area such as the abdomen, thighs and hips.
After a special preparation process and thickening of the adipose tissue, it is inserted in the desired area.
Most often, cheeks, lips, deep wrinkles, scars or any loss in the skin area are enhanced with patient’s fat transfer
After the surgery:
When anesthesia dissipates, you may experience mild discomfort, which usually disappears after the first few hours.
In the first days, there may be swelling, combined with oppression of the areas involved in the surgery, and in a variable way, bruising.
It is best not to bend over or lift heavy goods in the early days. You may find it more comfortable to sleep with an extra pillow to elevate your head in this period.
Initially, there may be some asymmetry that will disappear as swelling decreases and healing occurs.
Most people manage to return to normal activities in the first days after surgery. A week later, swelling and possible bruising are normally reduced to a level where social activities can be resumed. We also recommend that you do not do strenuous activities in the first two weeks
