Injection of fat or lipofilling of the buttocks
This procedure involves taking fat from one part of your body and injecting it to improve and reshape your buttocks.
Liposuction with suction tubes (cannulas) is used to remove fatty tissue from areas of your body with excess tissue, such as the abdomen, hips, back or thighs.
The fat is then treated for transfer and reinjected using syringes connected to cannulas.
Usually, three small incisions are required for the injection of fat, but these incision sites are easily hidden by clothing.
The fat is layered at multiple levels, with the cannula moving back and forth to ensure that fat deposits are linear and smooth.

The two first weeks
The recovery period is slightly longer and more painful in the buttocks area, because this area of the body is used for physical activities such as walking, running and even standing up.
The first day after surgery, you may be asked to stay in bed with the compression garment and periodically move your hands and feet to maintain good circulation.
You can get up and walk after the second postoperative day.
Your bottom may be painful, but it usually starts to disappear after a few days.
Pain medications are prescribed.
The drains remain in place for the first seven days to eliminate fluid build up. An oral antibiotic is prescribed as long as the drains are in place.
No activity is allowed during the first ten days (except for going to the bathroom). After this time, you can sit with a soft pillow placed under your muscles but without touching your buttocks, so that your buttocks are in the air and there is no pressure on the newly raised buttock for at least eight weeks.
You must wear a compression garment (or panty) for six to eight weeks.
